This is our best buddy Reese. He was born in February 1996.
We adopted him from the Loudoun County Animal Shelter in 1998.

He had been abandoned in a house by his previous owners when
they moved. The other dog with him at the time passed away.

Reese is a silly, goofy, good guy.
He likes to sit under his favorite tree in our yard when we go
for walks and sip water from our stream.

He also still plays a little fetch with any kind of ball that squeaks.
This is our beautiful Kara.

We adopted Kara in August, 2007. She was born in April of 1996.
She was turned in to the local Golden Rescue by a man who had not
bothered to take her to the Vet in over 6 years.
He said she lived in the basement because he "didn't have time for a dog".

Kara is a sweet girl who is very precious to us.
She likes taking daily walks in our 5 acre yard and visiting the local park.
She also loves tennis balls!
After playing a little fetch, she likes hiding them under her bed.

Our Vet says it appears she suffered a mild stroke prior to being
taken in by the Rescue, but this does not slow her down much.

Kara was diagnosed with a tumor in her right lung in February 2009.
We were told she would probably only live another 30 - 90 days.
She is fighting it with nutrition and medication, and we are thankful
she is still here, doing well and enjoying her life thus far.
This is the Rescue that Kara came from.
They are wonderful and have so many great dogs who are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and often housetrained.

We donate copy and delivery services for them every week.

Our Four Footed Family Members...
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

Psalm 46:1 - 3

This is a wonderful Shelter located in a county that borders Virginia.
So many beautiful cats and dogs wait here while hoping for a forever home.

Shelter staff saves and cares for countless animals.
Each animal's time there is short, and the staff does their very best to prevent animals from facing euthanasia due to overcrowding.

They are always in need of donations (please see website for details).

We donate copy and delivery services to them.

Please consider bringing one of their pets home and saving a life.
